Family Faith Formation
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION K-6
Our Divine Savior's Family Faith Formation is designed to support parents as the primary educators of the faith. Our Faith Formation program for K - 6th graders helps supplement parents in their teaching of the Catholic faith to their children as well as helping children form a community of faith among their peers. Our family faith formation will begin in mid September and finish in April. Orientation is Sunday, September 11th at 9AM in the Social Hall. See the calendar below for details about class meetings and topics.
New This Year, families will gather together in the social hall on the second Sunday each month. This Family Catechesis opportunity will allow us all to learn more about the Mass, the liturgy, and the Eucharist as the Catholic Church enters into this time of Eucharistic Revival. We will be joined by our Music Director, Allison Ward to learn songs and prepare for the 10AM Youth Mass that weekend. These Family Catechesis gatherings will be a required part of faith formation and take place of regular classes in the social hall that week.
The 10am Mass on the second Sunday each month is our Youth Mass. We hope to see more and more youth, young adults, and families getting involved in the celebration of the Mass by participating as greeters, ushers, readers, Eucharistic ministers, and musicians.
