Family Faith Formation
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION K-6
Our Divine Savior's Family Faith Formation is designed to support parents as the primary educators of the faith. Our Faith Formation program for K - 6th graders helps supplement parents in their teaching of the Catholic faith to their children as well as helping children form a community of faith among their peers. Our family faith formation will begin in mid September. Orientation is Sunday, September 19th at 9AM in the Social Hall. See the calendar below for details about class meetings and topics.
We are using a hybrid in person/at home parent directed learning platform from Faith and Family Life Catholic Ministries. They create and provide innovative and relevant resources to assist families in making the home the cornerstone for faith sharing and development. Their goal is to support and train parents in their role as the primary educators of the faith.
New This Year, Root for parents is an at home experience designed to meld into the fast paced lives of modern parents. Through 6 self-led mini-series of 5 - 15 minute sessions parents will get to know the Trinity and the essentials teachings of our faith contained in the Creed. They will be given a vocabulary of faith and empowered with the knowledge to share the faith with their families. Content will be available in a convenient 8" X 5" personal booklet that can easily be taken anywhere. Some of this content will be the center of parent small group discussions on Sunday mornings during students class time.
